Lala’s Dreamland is a black woman-owned cosmetics brand founded by Nyala Chamberlain, aka Lala. I’ve had a passion for beauty, fantasy, anime, kawaii style, and Japanese pop culture since I was a little girl, so that’s what inspired a lot of my brand’s identity and aesthetic. As a young child I dealt with many adversities and magic/fantasy was always my escape. I started off writing fantasy stories, which then sparked my creativity and a love for drawing/painting, which then got me into makeup and it became my passion at a very young age.
In the years to come, I hope to see my brand become a household name, sold in beauty retailers all over the world, and I want to do collections/collabs with major celebrities, and offer business coaching and mentoring to young women looking to pursue their dreams.
